Privacy Policy for VPSSOS Content Audit

VPSSOS operates the VPSSOS Content Audit tool (“VPSSOS Content Audit,” “the Tool,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how VPSSOS Content Audit accesses, uses, stores, protects, and deletes information obtained through Google OAuth 2.0 and the Google Search Console API.

1. Purpose of the Tool

VPSSOS Content Audit is an internal website analytics and content auditing tool. It uses read-only Google Search Console data to help the authorized website owner:

• Evaluate organic search performance
• Identify pages and search queries that may need improvement
• Compare clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and search position
• Review performance by page, query, date, country, device, or search type
• Prioritize content updates and technical SEO work
• Generate internal SEO reports for websites controlled by VPSSOS

The Tool does not modify Google Search Console properties, submit or remove URLs, change website settings, or perform other write operations through Google Search Console.

2. Google Account Permissions

VPSSOS Content Audit requests the following Google OAuth scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly

This permission provides read-only access to Google Search Console data available to the Google Account that authorizes the Tool. The Tool only requests permissions necessary to provide its content auditing and search analytics functionality.

3. Google User Data We Access

Depending on the authorized Google Search Console account and the requested report, the Tool may access:

• Search Console property names and verified website URLs
• Search queries and landing page URLs
• Search result clicks and impressions
• Average click-through rate and search position
• Reporting dates
• Countries or regions
• Device categories
• Search appearance and search type information
• Other aggregated Search Console performance dimensions selected by the authorized user

The Tool may also process OAuth credentials required to maintain authorized access, including access tokens and refresh tokens.

VPSSOS Content Audit does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, payment information, or Google Account passwords.

4. How We Use Google User Data

Google Search Console data is used only to:

• Produce internal SEO and content performance reports
• Compare website performance across selected reporting periods
• Identify pages and queries with optimization opportunities
• Diagnose changes in organic search traffic
• Prioritize content maintenance and technical SEO tasks
• Export authorized analytics data into internal CSV, JSON, spreadsheet, or report files
• Maintain the OAuth session needed to retrieve requested reports

We do not use Google Search Console data for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, unrelated user profiling, or training general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

5. Data Storage and Security

OAuth credentials and downloaded Search Console reports may be stored on systems controlled by VPSSOS. Stored information may include:

• OAuth access and refresh tokens
• Search Console API responses
• CSV or JSON exports
• Aggregated analytics reports
• Content audit reports derived from Search Console data

OAuth credentials are stored with restricted file permissions where supported. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect stored information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

6. Data Retention

Google Search Console data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to perform content audits, compare historical performance, maintain internal business records, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

OAuth credentials are retained until:

• The authorization is revoked
• The connected Google Account is removed
• The credentials expire or become invalid
• The user requests deletion
• The Tool is no longer used

Local reports and exported data may be deleted when they are no longer required for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade Google user data. We do not share Google Search Console data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Information may be disclosed only when:

• The authorized user explicitly requests or consents to the disclosure
• A service provider processes data solely on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations
• Disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request
• Disclosure is necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of VPSSOS, its users, or the public

Any service provider permitted to process information must use it only to provide the relevant service to VPSSOS.

8. Google API Services User Data Policy

VPSSOS Content Audit’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Google user data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve the user-facing functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

9. Revoking Google Account Access

You can revoke VPSSOS Content Audit’s access at any time:

1. Visit Google Account Third-Party Connections.
2. Locate VPSSOS Content Audit or the associated Google OAuth application.
3. Select the application.
4. Remove or revoke its access.

Revoking access prevents the Tool from retrieving new Google Search Console data. Previously exported local reports may remain until deleted under our retention practices or in response to a valid deletion request.

10. Data Access and Deletion Requests

You may request information about Google user data associated with your authorization or ask us to delete stored OAuth credentials and exported Search Console data.

We may need to verify that you are authorized to control the relevant account or property before completing a request.

11. Third-Party Services

VPSSOS Content Audit relies on Google OAuth 2.0 and the Google Search Console API. Google processes information according to its own terms and privacy policies.

Our website may also use independent analytics or infrastructure services. Those services are governed by their respective privacy policies and are not granted access to Google Search Console data unless expressly disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

12. International Data Processing

Information may be processed in locations where VPSSOS or its service providers operate. Where required, we take reasonable measures to protect information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

13. Children’s Privacy

VPSSOS Content Audit is intended for website owners, administrators, and authorized business users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect Google Search Console data from children through the Tool.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Tool, its data practices, Google API requirements, or applicable laws change.

When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice or request renewed consent when required.
